Outpatient or Inpatient Care
The stem cell transplant process involves many steps. You may receive your stem cell transplant care in the hospital or in the outpatient clinic. Both settings are equally safe and effective. Your transplant physician will determine the most suitable setting for your transplant, based on several factors, including:
- Availability of a caregiver
- Your diagnosis and treatment plan
- Your overall health status
